With the EGG, nothing goes to waste: unburnt charcoal can be used for the next cook.
1. Extinguish. After cooking, completely close the rEGGulator and the draft door. Deprived of oxygen, the EGG will extinguish immediately. The remaining black charcoal is reusable.

2. Remove ash. Before relighting, stir the embers to let the ash fall through the fire grate. Open the draft door and use the ash tool to remove the ash into the ash pan. Any embers that are still warm should be placed in a bucket of sand or water.

3. Refill and relight as usual. If there is a lot of residue left, heat the EGG to a high temperature for about twenty minutes to burn it off.
Our charcoal is 100% natural, free of chemicals and accelerants, and produces less ash than briquettes.
