Cleaning your EGG

Nettoyer votre EGG

Your EGG rarely needs cleaning. And when it does, it's quick and mess-free. A cover keeps the exterior ceramic looking like new.

1. Pyrolysis. Heat to 300°C (575°F) and let it burn for 15 to 20 minutes. Like a self-cleaning oven, the EGG carbonizes any residue.

2. Brush. If any residue remains on the cooking surfaces, use a Palmyra brush.

3. Exterior. Use a soft cloth, lukewarm water, and a drop of dish soap. Never use bleach, detergent, or abrasive sponges: they will dull the enamel.

4. Remove ash before each cook. Stir the coals to let the ash fall through, open the Draft Door, and use the Ash Tool to remove it into the Ash Pan. Clean vents ensure stable temperatures, especially for low & slow cooking.
